In addition to the requirements in section 709 for fire partitions doors protecting openings in the elevator lobby enclosure walls shall also comply with section 711 5 3 and penetrations of the elevator lobby enclosure by ducts and air.

In some buildings the elevator lobby doors are required to be smoke barrier that really complicates things if delayed egress hardware is because positive latching is still required. The provisions for delayed egress locks and access controlled egress doors are not applied to elevator lobby doors.
