Driver Door Window Switch Not Working

Driver door window switch not working.

Not having a door trim for a month or so now was getting annoying. No arm rest no door pocket dangling window switch. All other switches work on power switch but drivers window does not work. When passenger windows don t work but the driver s window does chances are high that you ve got a bad master switch in the driver s door or a broken wire in the driver s door hinge area.

I thought this was the sign of a dead regulator so i replaced that. So i put the motor in and the window still doesn. Is this your first time dealing with this issue. Driver s side master or passenger side.

The first thing you need to do is to check for. All other windows work fine. If motor grunts and does not move verify that regulator is not binding if that is okay you want to check the switch 1 remove the desired switch to be tested from the door trim panel. I checked all fuses even 68 relay but still could not find problem i drove 18 miles in 30 degree weather at nite got home and was very confused with this truck.

I replaced the switch and window still doesn t work. All the wiring for driver s and passenger s windows runs through the master switch. So much easier to work with than the old scissor mechanisms. 06 buick lucerne cxl front driver side window will not raise or lower.

The driver side window was stuck down and all door locks would not work all the other windows went up and down as they should but still no drivers window or door locks. The switch for the passenger window does work though as well as the power locks and power mirror adjusters so i know the door has power.
